How about a Beach?

I can't exactly give away a beach vacation or take one myself but I can create a fun beach card that will make us WANT to go to the beach...LOL This is the first post as an official Craftin Desert Divas Digital Design Team Member and I am very excited to share with you. I had a blast creating this refreshing beach scene. I laid all of the digital stamps that I used out in Photoshop and then went to work creating it. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I then used the June Mood Board Social Media Challenge to inspire my colors. I really encourage you to check this challenge out and play along. It is really easy and you may even win an awesome prize!! Even if you don't win a prize you will get your creative juices flowing and have fun, guaranteed! I printed the scene out and then used my Prismacolor pencils to color it in. Once done, I added some wink of stella for shimmer and shine and morning dew Nuvo drops (this colors dries clear and I like it better than glossy accents). While I let it all dry I prepared my card base by using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink in Broken China. I inked the edges and then spritzed it with water to create the splattered effect. I used a corner rounder on the scene and added it to my card base to finish the card. I had a lot of fun with this one and it was relaxing to color.
