Fall is in the air!

Today I took a bit of time just for myself. I love fall, although I do not like the memories associated with it anymore, it is still one of my favorite seasons to take part in. I love the warm colors, the leaves changing, hot cocoa, sweatshirts, pumpkins, and apple cider. I love the smell of wood fire places starting up. Yes, fall is one of my favorites!
With that being said, I decided to start decorating today. I pulled out some goodies I had bought at Dollar Tree and decided to try my hand at making my own fall vase for our kitchen table. I would have taken a picture of it sitting there but you can't see the table now because of this project...LOL. This project was pretty cheap as everything I found from my Dollar Tree stash was used, now that's a project I like, cheap!

Supplies used were as follows:
vase, foam, moss, plants, and burlap were all from Dollar Tree
The tag was made using CTMH products:
Harvest Happiness Seasons and Nature Stamps
cocoa, goldrush, new england ivy, and cranberry stamp pads
Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge

Thank you for stopping by to look today. I hope I have inspired you to get in the fall mood and try your hand at your own home decor! Have a great day everyone.

Yep, I am starting some Christmas projects already. I have 2 craft fairs that I am planning on doing so I need to start on things now. These are the first cards I am making. This set takes a lot of work so they will be a little more expensive. They are very stunning if you ask me, and to be able to tell you really need to see them in person. The cardstock is shimmery. These will come in a set of a dozen and will be in several colors. If you want a specific color contact me to see if I have it.

As you can tell when you open it, if you set it at an angle you can see the whole scene which is how the card is made to show off. They are 4x6 when folded together for mailing. So for now, this is the start of many Christmas projects to come. If you would like to order just leave me a comment. Have a great day!

Back to School Treats

Yesterday afternoon Gabe wanted to play with the cricut. He loves messing with machines and building things so I guess it would just be natural for him to love the cricut. We decided to make some back to school treat boxes for is classroom teacher and the fabulous school nurse, Becky, who he adores and loves since she gives him his allergy shots every week. So he looked through the Artiste book and picked out these two boxes. We figured out what size to cut them by using the Gypsy. We decided on using the Footloose paper from CTMH.
The flower container has the new Hershey's cream chocolate candy in it. The other little bag has M&Ms in it. Teachers always need chocolate to start the year off right!! I hope they enjoy their treats and have a great school year!

This month we will be showcasing the "Decorative Layer" (shift or no shift) feature of the cartridge.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lucy's blog -

My project is a fern sympathy card that I made for one of my husband's coworkers who's father passed away this week.
I used the Fern Image from pg. 43 of the Art Philosophy booklet. I actually used both parts of this cut out. I used the CTMH Stella paper pack for this and just flipped the fern cut out over to showcase the backside of the paper. I used some pop dots to pop the green fern off the cut out a bit and finished it off using the color-ready ribbon tied in a knot. I then added a Timeless Charms plaque for my sentiment. The only thing that I used that is not from CTMH is the Tim Holtz honeycomb embossing folder for overall texture and appearance of the card. Thank you so much for checking out my project! I think it showcases how simple can be stunning and more at times!

The next stop on your blog hop fun is Penny (Kindred Hearts)

CTMH products used were: Elemental teal paper (retired), Artiste Cartridge for the rosette (which are SO easy to make with this cartridge), and the saying (retired).
Non-CTMH: cardstock, background paper, teal bead, and lace.

New Artiste Cartridge AVAILABLE NOW!

I am SO very excited to be sharing this new cartridge for you. It went on sale today and it is one that you will want to have in your collection. Let me tell you it has saved me a LOT of money on cartridges that I had on my Christmas list. I have marked 4 off my list now just because of this cartridge. I will be posting a lot of ideas that are cut from this cart in the coming days. I am offering FREE SHIPPING on it during the month of August. I know that some of you are not stampers, but the stamps coordinate so well with this cart that I really think you will want to keep them and use them. I have to say that I am VERY impressed with this cartridge and that is not because I am selling it. Here is a quick preview of it. Be on the lookout for coming projects using it.

Anniversary #14

Today is our anniversary. We have been married for 14 years and along with it are highs and lows. We have had some of the hardest lows imaginable, but we made it through and are still together. I love him with all of my heart. Now, they say that they to a man's heart is through his stomach and with my man it is with CHOCOLATE!!! Now normally I try to make my own truffles or chocolate surprises for him but to be honest I just didn't have the energy to be creative and make a fancy desert/candy this year, so I cheated a bit and bought some fancy truffles for him. I DID however get creative with the box and made this one with the new Artiste Cartridge from Close to my Heart that went on sale today!!! I think the box turned out very very pretty. The paper and ribbon are not CTMH, but sometimes you have to make due with what you have :) I hope you enjoy looking at this little special box as much as I enjoyed making it for him.
