The Kindest Cut of All at White Rose Crafts

Hi everyone! It's a new week and a new inspirational theme at White Rose Crafts called the Kindest cut of All. It has been such a fun week playing with some new items and die cuts.

Today I am going to share a really quick and EASY way to make stunning cards, and the best part, it is fairly cheap to do!! I have to admit this was the FIRST time ever playing with style of card. It is called a 3D decoupage style card. There are several companies that sell the 3D sheets and Whtite Rose Crafts have several! I chose to use the Craft Creations Bible and Flowers die cut pop out sheet. These come in a flat sheet that are already colored, cut out, and ready for you to just assemble with some pop dots for dimension. It is like paper layering by number, literally! So simple but stunning.

Now for my final card, it is more traditional and was still a lot of fun! I fell in love with this Quilted Backdrop die by Lawn Fawn and knew I had to have it. There are so many possibilities with this die so be on the lookout for more to come using it. I also used the Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome stamp set on this card. By the way, the recipient loved it for Father's Day which made it all that much better!

All of the products that I have linked to in this post are on sale until June 30, so hurry and get yours and remember to check out the ad at the top for your special code to save on any die cuts in the die cuts category in the store!!

Let's Get Inky!

This week we have a new inspiration week at White Rose Crafts LLC, let's get inky! Today I am showing 2 different projects. First is my planner spread:

For this I started with a stencil and masked it off. ThenI used Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, and Lucky clover distrss oxide inks. Applied the lightest color at the top then blended the mid color and then the darkest at the bottom to replicate the color of grass. I stamped, colored, and cut out images from Heffy Doodle Eggcellent News stamp set. I glued the images to my planner with some liquid adhesive. I finished the spread out with some sentiments from the set and some hearts.

For my next project I made a glow in the dark card. I used Lawn Fawn's Glow in the Dark embossing powder for this effect. I started by inking  a strip of paper with versamark ink. I coated that with the embossing powder and then while still hot added 2 more layers of the powder on top so it was totally coated. I then die cut out 3 rectangles on a 4x5.25 note card that I had used distress oxide inks on blended together to create an evening glow. I added foam adhesive around the inside of the rectangles to create a shaker box. I added in Flaming Sunset   Doodlesparkles for the shaker elements. I glued the glow in the dark strip behind the shaker piece and then I glued all of that to the front of the card base. I stamped, colored, and cut out dragonflies from Lawn Fawn's Little Fireflies set. This set comes with dots that you can stamp and emboss with the glow in the dark to put behind the little behinds of the fireflies to make them glow. So I added all the fireflies and stamped the sentiment. I made a little flag using Lawn Fawn's Light's Out set to let the person who gets the card know it glows in the dark and we are done! What a fun project this one was!!!

Inky Paws Challenge #74

Today I am sharing a fun card that I did for the Newton's Nook Design Inky Paws Challenge #74.

I am in love with this Toucan set and finally made a card with it. The colors are some of my favorites and are perfect for summertime!

I started by ink smooshing some distress inks in mustard seed and peacock feathers on some watercolor paper. I then die cut it out using stitched rectangle die. I stamped and colored my images with my Zig realclean markers and then cut them out with my silhouette cameo since I don't have the dies. I added some wink of stella, nuvo drops, and finished it off with a heat embossed sentiment. Toucan definitely party better than one!

Splash Into Summer

It's a new week at White Rose Crafts and we have a new theme, Splashing into Summer, that comes with a discount for you using the code "JUNE". Who doesn't love a sale??!!

For my first add on project I made this cute mini album from an svg file of Lori Whitlock's. I used my Cameo 3 to cut it and the papers out making it very quick and easy to put together. The papers are all from the June kit itself.

For the front cover I used the Kaiser Craft add on of the wooden flower from their Mini Wooden Flourishes- Butterfly collection.

The smile die cut is included in the June monthly kit and is by Jillybean Soup.

Inside this mini album are a lot of places for photos and is just a fun little album to carry around.
For my next project with add ons, this one was a LOT of fun!

This project uses a background paper from the June kit itself. I die cut the frame from bristol white cardstock and used various distress oxide ink colors including Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I also used various colors of Nuvo Drops in the following colors: Strawberry Coulis, Orange Marmalade, and Caribbean Ocean. The stamp set that is featured in this card is the Lawn Fawn Toadally Awesome. The best part about this card is almost everything is on sale to create it!! Here's to a Hoppy shopping day for you!

Camping and Smore's fun

There is nothing better for my kids and I that summer nights with smores. We light the fire pit or if we are at the pond a fire and roast marshmallows and have yummy treats! We talk about our day or just funny stuff and memories are made. When I saw this Easily A'moose'd stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs I knew I had to have it! Now our oldest is away for her summer internship and we are missing her so I whipped up this card to let her know. I used distress oxides, water, and white acrylic paint for the background. I colored with copics, I am trying to get better but have a LONG ways to go. To help me color more I have joined The Daily Marker 30 day Challenge. It is such a fun challenge and anyone can join, even kids! So here's to a summer of smores for you and your family:

LemonCraft!

There is a new theme this week at White Rose Crafts LLC  using LemonCraft products. This is the first time that I have used this brand but I am in love!! The papers are just gorgeous and very nice to work with. I am so excited to say that I have stepped back into papercrafting and scrapbooking again. My project featuring LemonCraft is this photo collage of my girls.

Makayla has her funny smile on but I still love this pic. I did a collage style around the photo to make it the focal point. I chose the House of Roses collection because it matched this photo so well and gives it that timeless feel that I was looking for. I used the paper that I inked with distress oxide inks for a more aged look, ephemera cards that I used the Tim Holtz distresser or hand ripped and inked, and the ephemera sheet. For the ephemera sheet I cut the elements out using my Cameo 3 and a pix mat. I used heavy adhesive and some foam dots for dimension. I was still missing something so I added in some Kaiser Craft wood pieces. The pink butterfly was inked with versamark, dipped in Rose Gold embossing powder, and then heat set. It honestly came together sooo quickly and easily for stunning results!

The pallet board that was used is by Jillybean Soup from Walmart. And this is how it looks hanging on my wall. Thanks for stopping by today and happy crafting! Please post questions below and I will try to get them answered.
