Art Philosophy Blog Hop

Welcome to our August Art Philosophy Blog Hop! Each month we will showcase a feature of the amazing Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge which can be purchased exclusively through a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant.

We're so excited to be doing this hop and we have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies. There will be lots of fun projects. So be sure to check out the whole list and follow along. We all love praise and support along the way!

This month we will be showcasing the "Decorative Layer" (shift or no shift) feature of the cartridge.

If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lucy's blog - http://www.love2createitall.com.

My project is a fern sympathy card that I made for one of my husband's coworkers who's father passed away this week.
I used the Fern Image from pg. 43 of the Art Philosophy booklet. I actually used both parts of this cut out. I used the CTMH Stella paper pack for this and just flipped the fern cut out over to showcase the backside of the paper. I used some pop dots to pop the green fern off the cut out a bit and finished it off using the color-ready ribbon tied in a knot. I then added a Timeless Charms plaque for my sentiment. The only thing that I used that is not from CTMH is the Tim Holtz honeycomb embossing folder for overall texture and appearance of the card. Thank you so much for checking out my project! I think it showcases how simple can be stunning and more at times!

The next stop on your blog hop fun is Penny (Kindred Hearts)
